Arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi-2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & Tea Plantations. On arrival at Munnar transfer to Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park - open as per the directions by the forest authorities), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum. Evening has a short visit at Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise.
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing. Maduppatty dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Rest day is free to explore Munnar on your own or do shopping of spices and local souvenirs.
After Breakfast drive to Thekkady which is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Spices are found in abundance in Periyar. Get ready for a spice tour to view the plantations of a wide variety of spices like cardamom, pepper, tea, coffee, cloves, ginger, turmeric, cumin seed, etc.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to houseboat. Around 1200 hrs check in at the Houseboat and start your cruise through the rich and splendid backwater. Just relax at the deluxe houseboat. It will be a unique and exclusive experience in your lifetime. You will be cruising along the village sides and paddy fields witnessing the core life of the Kerala villages for the whole day. The house boat is fully furnished with bedrooms and a kitchen. Dinner and overnight at the houseboat.
After breakfast check out from houseboat and transfer to Cochin. Check-In at Hotel and proceed for Sightseeing, popularly known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Cochin (Kochi) is one of the finest natural harbours in the world and is the gateway to the enchanting backwaters of Kerala. Kochi is the business capital of Kerala and is one of the fastest growing cities in India. It is comprised of a group of islands scattered along the Vembanad Lake. An interesting ensemble of various cultures like the Portuguese, Jewish, English, French, Dutch and Chinese, Kochi is a tapestry of vivid and varied colours, which attracts scores of tourists from far and wide to its shores.
After breakfast check out and transfer to the airport or station for your journey back home.
